The Secret of Kells

The Secret of Kells (2009)

“You must take the book to the people, so that they have hope.”

Sunday Single Sentence review:

Although burdened with one too many antagonists and some minor pacing issues, The Secret of Kells, (which presents a fantasy telling of the creation of Ireland’s finest national treasure, the Book of Kells), is beautifully animated, in a minimalist style that is, appropriately, reminiscent of medieval text illuminations and traditional Irish art, and tells a charming story with an oddly satisfying conclusion.
