The Queen of Versailles

The Queen of Versailles (2012)

“This is almost like a riches to rags story.”

Sunday Single Sentence Review:

A near perfect illustration of the roots of the ongoing great recession, The Queen of Versailles documents the struggles of timeshare magnate David Siegel, his wife Jackie, and their seven children, and paints a surprisingly sympathetic, portrait as they fall from mindlessly wealthy builders of the nation’s largest home, to another family struggling to keep afloat, albeit on much larger terms than most.

[The Queen of Versailles (2012) – Directed by Lauren Greenfield – Rated PG for thematic elements and language]
