Morning Glory

Morning Glory (2010)

“It’s not like it’s my whole life, it’s only work.”

Harrison Ford is a cinema legend who has starred in some of my favorite movies of all time, so of course the first movie of his that I’m reviewing here on OM¦ED is a decent but utterly forgettable comedy from 2010. That movie is Morning Glory. It stars Rachel McAdams as Becky Fuller, a hyper-ambitious workaholic morning news producer who lands a job producing a failing network morning show.

The movie is perfectly okay. There are a few good laughs, and Ford is great as curmudgeonly hard-news anchor Mike Pomeroy. Unfortunately, it’s entirely predictable, and not all that interesting. I did enjoy watching the movie, but now having finished it, I just really don’t care about it. Still, I suppose it was worth seeing, but barely.

[Morning Glory (2010) – Directed by Roger Michell – Rated PG-13 for some sexual content including dialogue, language and brief drug references]

OM|ED Rating: Worth Seeing
