The Princess Bride

The Princess Bride (1987)

“Death cannot stop true love.”

Since I’ve started watching and reviewing One Movie Each Day, I’ve stuck exclusively to movies that I hadn’t seen prior to starting out on this blogging adventure. However, as I said last week, I’m looking for a new gimmick for my Saturday reviews. Watching a movie every single day really does become monotonous after a while, so in addition to Wednesday Weirdness, I’m now continuing with the OM|ED Saturday Replay, where I re-watch a movie I watched before my blogging and post some thoughts on seeing it through my jaded reviewer’s eyes.

I’ve seen The Princess Bride literally dozens of times, and I honestly think that with each viewing I enjoy it more than the last time. It’s gone from a movie that was a decent adventure that I was almost forced to watch when I was a little kid to something that I now find always magnificent. It’s one of my favorite films. It’s an absolute must see.

*As with the prior 3 Saturday reviews, I’m reserving the right to come back and add to this review at a later date.

[The Princess Bride (1987) – Directed by Rob Reiner – Rated PG]
