The Adventures of Tintin
Sunday Single Sentence review:
From Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Steven Moffat, and Edgar Wright, The Adventures of Tintin is a globe-trotting animated adventure that combines the spirit of Indiana Jones with a brilliant, almost photo-realistic animation style that leads to some truly thrilling action sequences, but it drags a bit in the middle, due to a rather convoluted plot.

I love this movie, mainly because I am a huge fan of the books! And I’ve been waiting for this movie to come out since I first heard that this movie was in production. I guess the movie can seem a bit slow to people unfamiliar with the books. This is mainly due because they take elements from 3-4 different Tintin books to make up the plot of this film. And they take some events out of order! But still, I love this!
What you say about the multiple books seems to make sense. I really felt that the movie would have been improved by having a slightly less complicated plot, or allowing a slightly longer running time to fit it all in.
I was really impressed with Tintin as a character, he was presented as much more of a badass than I thought he would be.
I’m guessing you weren’t familiar with the books?
What did you think of the motorcycle chase done with a single shot?
I was aware of the books, and was somewhat aware of the who the imporant characters were, but I’d never actually read them, and I clearly had entirely the wrong idea about Tintin himself was.
The Motorcycle chase was absolutely fantastic! I wished I could have seen it in 3D in the theaters, it was just spectacular!

I could watch the motorcycle chase forever, lol! Just the facts that they did that in one camera shot (or whatever the correct film term is) AND that since it’s motion capture, they were all personally acting the motions out for this scene are just beyond amazing!
