Toy Story 3
I’m actually having a little bit of trouble with today’s Saturday Replay.
I first saw Toy Story 3 early in its theatrical run. My impression at the time was that it wasn’t just a great animated movie, not just a great sequel, but simply a great movie. It really delivers a broad range of emotions and hits every note it aims for with perfection.
So when I sat down to watch it this morning I did so with high expectations. At first I was a little bit let down. I thought a few of the jokes were contrived, and that the pacing was just slightly off. I was still enjoying myself though.
But then something happened, as the movie came to it’s fantastic conclusion, I found myself on the verge of tears. Not the first time I saw the film, I’ll admit that I went well beyond just the verge of tears, but I was actually surprised at how close I came again on my second viewing.
Toy Story 3 is a fantastic film about growing up, moving on, and what happens to those we leave behind. While on my second viewing, I no longer think it’s quite so perfect as I did at first, I still absolutely think that it is a Must See.

Definitely a must-see! The conclusion is just…indescribably effective!
